Oh Jess & Dan….two really lovely people who make one awesomely wonderful couple!

They were recently married at one of the most beautiful churches i have ever seen, in North Sydney. After their ceremony guests were guided along a pathway of  pretty fabrics to a morning tea. Jane from ‘planned for perfection’ did a wonderful job of styling Jess & Dan’s day along with help from their friends and family who helped make cakes and goodies for the morning tea, and even made a surprise archway for the happy couple to walk through to get to the morning tea fun!

Jess and Dan’s day was very much a celebration of them as a couple and being surrounded by their friends and family was  very important to them and such a huge part of their day. It was so nice to be part of their special day and to capture those special moments and the story of the day for them.

Here is their lovely day…

This lovely pair were married recently under a beautiful big tree in Bicentennial park. Unfortunately for them the weather was crazy that day- some of the worst rain i have ever seen! But, despite the inclement weather they had the loveliest day and didn’t let it get them down at all.

Their reception was held at Cavallino’s Italian restaurant in Terrey Hills. I am a total sucker for Italian food and i have to say this was the best Italian food i have ever had- we were spoiled rotten!  Jolie did all of the flowers including her own bouquet and all of the styling for her wedding herself, making everything- such a clever lass!

Thanks so much Jolie & Giovanni for having me along- and for being such good sports :))

I met Adele & Ross recently at a wedding fair. They are such a great, down to earth couple. After some chatting we planned an engagement shoot for them at  Balmoral beach- one of their favourite spots.

However when we arrived and started shooting at said location, the heavens opened. The lightning struck. The thunder rolled and the sea looked angry! But, we decided not to give up and go home, instead we threw caution to the wind (excuse the pun!) and to shoot regardless. And i’m so glad we did. The weather and light made me really think outside the box and be more creative. I always try to shoot creatively and never become too repetitive in what i do.  I always like to take a fresh approach to my work and this shoot certainly challenged me!

For me this shoot was all about Adele and Ross enjoying time together as a couple, just really being together. I wanted to capture the feelings and moments between them in an unobtrusive way.I believe that the little moments are the most powerful and intimate…the way he looks at her when she glances away, the smile that creeps across her face when he speaks to her, that kind of thing.

I love that the day wasn’t sunny. I love that the wind howled around them as they cuddled. I loved that the rain came down and forced us to take refuge under a small bridge- it opened up a whole new way of thinking to me- i may have never shot under that bridge had it not been pouring with rain.

Thanks Adele and Ross for being such great sports and for just going with it despite the crazy weather, and  thankyou for being yourselves 🙂

It was great to get to know you as a couple, you are just lovely!
